The Lord impressed me to share my heart with the readers of this column this month. Although it is normally written by single girls-for single girls, and in light of the events taking place in our church family this month…let me encourage every single girl reading this….
It pays to wait on God. Choose to trust Him and be willing to wait…no matter how long it takes! If you are a true Christian in walk as well as talk, you already have experienced saving faith. You know what it’s like to place your depending faith and resting faith in the Saviour of your soul! It is no different when you are waiting on God for a husband! You trust God the very same way. Completely, unreservedly and in dependence on what His Word has already told you.
Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Just believe Him!
He has already said He can supply for you. Love Him, serve Him and trust Him enough to do it! Don’t go on a man hunt! When a girl starts to focus her thoughts on her own personal loneliness and her own neediness, she reveals her lack of faith in God. This focus on self goes completely contrary to Biblical thinking which tells us to cast all our care upon Him, for He cares for us! Great heartache comes when you take upon yourself-- God’s responsibility to provide and give you a life’s mate.
“But, waiting is so hard!” you might say. Where is your faith? It takes faith to wait. Just remind yourself that you are not waiting on any ole person! You are waiting on Creator God, the One that knows the beginning from the end. The Alpha and Omega and the GREAT I AM! And you have no faith? Oh, dear one…what does that say about your Christianity?
No trusting faith?.... perhaps there has been no saving faith either.
Here is truth: II Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness….”
Do not be a fool to question whether God’s grace is sufficient to bring the right man into your life without your help! You don’t have to ask God to make His grace sufficient for your wait…He has already done it! Only by lack of faith will we ask God to make …what already is! Just trust Him in total dependence and get your hands out of His plans for your life, and you will find that His grace is indeed…totally sufficient for your wait!
The girl getting married this month and the young lady who was just betrothed to be married, are both older girls (late twenties and early thirties). But there is one commonality we all see in with both of them.
They faithfully served the Lord (without whining) and stayed close to their parents’ protection. Both have testimonies of faithfulness in the Lord’s church and lives that reflect Christ-likeness.
Our trust in God’s sufficiency will be seen! It will be noticeable. It will be a blessing to others.

AMEN!!! There are no regrets when you let the Lord do it all!
I praise the Lord for these two dear ladies. What a wonderful blessing they are to me.
